Famous British comedian John Lebbon is known for his hilarious skits and YouTube videos. He and his friends Ant Ellis and Gavin Donaldson are making a name for themselves in the comedy world by creating amusing sketches and podcasts. His “UK’s Hardest Bouncers” series, in which he and his friends pose as bouncers giving interviews, remains one of his most popular sketches.
In a recent episode of their popular series, the trio jokingly claimed that bouncers at a club have tougher jobs than UFC fighters. They joked, “A UFC fighter would not last two minutes doing our job. They have the luxury of fighting one on one, They’ve got a referee. What if I’ve got someone pinned on the floor and their fat wife and fat sister jump on my back?”. Lebbon went on to say that they don’t have the option to tap out either.
Many UFC fighters like Petr Yan have worked as bouncers before becoming professional fighters. Yan worked as a bouncer at a bar in Omsk, Russia, before turning professional. He has recalled many stories of his days as a bouncer. Yan was known for being able to take care of huge drunk men even though his disadvantage in size.
Many other MMA athletes had jobs as bouncers. This is because MMA fighters have the abilities and training to defend themselves against physical threats. Which bouncers frequently need to be able to do. Additionally, bouncers frequently need to be able to defuse situations quickly and skillfully.
