BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise State women's basketball had four student-athletes,Mya Hansen, Abby Muse, Mary Kay Naro and Natalie Pasco, named to the College Sports Communicators 2023-24 Academic All-District Team.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. It is the third time Naro has received the honor and the second for Muse. Hansen and Pasco were named to the team for the first time.
Hansen, a kinesiology major with a 4.0 cumulative GPA, averaged 10.2 points per game for the Broncos. The sophomore ended the season scoring over 19 points in four of her last six games.
Hansen also averaged 3.0 assists per game and shot 42.1 percent from beyond the arc. The Billings, Mont., native was named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MW last season.
Muse, who graduated with a business administration degree in December with a 3.97 cumulative GPA, set the program record with 293 rebounds in a single season.
The program's career block leader, Muse finished the season sixth nationally in total blocks with 91 and 10th in blocks per game at 2.6 and was named to the MW's All-Defensive Team. She is a two-time MW Scholar-Athlete and three-time Academic All-MW recipient.
Naro, a health studies major with a 3.96 cumulative GPA, dished out 142 assists on the season, becoming the second player in program history to record over 100 assists in four straight seasons. The senior is a two-time MW Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Academic All-MW honoree.
Pasco, a psychology major with a 3.80 cumulative GPA, was the team's leading scorer at 13.2 points per game. The sophomore was named MW All-Conference and led the league in total 3-pointers with 84 and was second in 3-point percentage with 39.4 percent and 3-pointers per game with 2.4. Pasco was named Academic All-MW last spring.
