BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A man who led Ada County Sheriff's deputies on a short car chase Sunday night is in custody awaiting charges.
The driver is identified as Tyler Hattabaugh, he is being charged with felony DUI, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and a misdemeanor count of eluding arrest.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office said the incident ended in the parking lot of Albertson's on the corner of Overland Road and Vista Avenue after Hattabaugh ran inside the store to avoid getting caught. Deputies searched the man's pickup truck and found marijuana inside.
The chase started shortly after 8:45 p.m. Sunday, after a deputy tried pulling over a car on I-84 for a lane change traffic violation. Hattabaugh kept going, leading deputies off the Vista Avenue exit. Police say he ended up going inside the store.
A deputy tried to Taser the man, but only one of the probes connected. He later gave up.
