Faze Rug, also known as Brian Rafat Awadis, is one of the world’s most popular and successful YouTubers, with 24.6 million subscribers, having started in 2012.

Despite generating tons of content through vlogs, pranks, and reactions, the creator habitually made his dog appear on camera, which many of his subscribers adored. However, it seems his dog, Bosley, passed away recently.

So, what happened to Bosley? On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, Faze Rug and his family announced in a YouTube video that their beloved pug, Bosley, had died of heart failure. Apparently, everything happened so quickly despite the dog receiving treatment beforehand.

What Exactly Happened to Faze Rug’s Dog, Bosley?

Bosley has almost been with Faze Rug since his channel started, and although he didn’t feature it in every video, it appeared in several videos unintentionally, and viewers loved it.

However, the beloved dog recently died of heart failure, and Faze Rug told exactly what happened in a YouTube video with their family. In his words,

“Bosley has passed away. The worst part is it happened so suddenly. I was in Vegas and had some weird feelings, so I called Dad, and he told me that Bosley didn’t look good. He told me he would take him to the vet, but while boarding an earlier flight, I received his call, and he said Bosley passed.”

Faze Rug also posted on Instagram about how he felt after losing his beloved dog. Here’s what his post states:

“Can’t believe I’m typing this, but rest in peace to Bosley. You brought joy to every single human you encountered. I loved you like there was no tomorrow. I wish you were still here, and I wish I could hold you one last time to tell you how much I loved you. All my supporters I’d meet would ask about you. I hope you knew how much you were loved by EVERYONE. Can’t wait to meet again, and I hope you’re eating a ton of steak & chicken up there ❤️🐾“

Apparently, his pug hadn’t been healthy for a few months, but they got him treated, and it looked well until he suddenly had a heart failure and passed away.

Faze Rug hasn’t revealed any more details, but it was enough to get a clear picture since dogs can, at best, live 1.5-2 years after having heart failure.

How Did People React to Bosley’s Death?

Bosley was introduced by Rug almost ten years ago when both were very young. So, people who have been following him since would definitely have a close bond with the dog even though they haven’t met it personally.

Following his announcement of Bosley’s passing, fans took to social media and vented out their sadness, commenting how the dog has become a sort of legend and seeing it go away makes them incredibly sad. Here are a few notable reactions:

“Super sorry to hear this news! You and your family treated him like a king because he was and always will be King Bosley. May he RIP!”

“Oh no! I’m so sorry! My son is going to be heartbroken. We love Bosley! We’ll be thinking of you and your family.”

Man this hit home I watched him in all your vids growing up and my childhood dog currently isn’t doing well also and may have to put her down 😓💔
