UNDATED (WKRC) - A beloved YouTuber with over three million subscribers has died after an "unfortunate accident," his wife said.

At 4:55 p.m. on Monday, Nathalie Potter, the wife of YouTuber Ben Potter, issued a statement on the Comicstorian/Mangastorian X account, announcing his passing. Ben Potter, known online as Comicstorian, was 40 years old at the time of his death.

"Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband, Ben Potter, passed away in an unfortunate accident," Nathalie Potter wrote.

"To many of you, he was Comicstorian, voicing stories from across multiple different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for," Nathalie Potter wrote to fans.

Nathalie Potter described her husband as "genuine and loving," going on to call him a "rock" that would reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it.

Ben Potter launched his YouTube channel back in 2014. Nathalie Potter wrote that the channel had been "one of his greatest accomplishments," going on to say he "spent over 10 years spreading his love and appreciation for his hobbies."

Per the post, it was Ben Potter's love of "exciting stories and well-written characters" that inspired him to begin a career creating content on YouTube.

Nathalie Potter said asked for time to grieve the loss and for privacy, telling fans that her "priority is preserving everything" her husband had built.

"We supported each other on everything we wanted to do and I'm not about to stop now," Nathalie Potter wrote.

Ben Potter was primarily known for his reviews and analyses of comic books and comic-related products.

“My heart completely sank reading this, oh my god I’m extremely sorry for your loss, Nathalie. Ben’s name rung so many bells in the comic book community & is a main reason why so many of us are involved with characters the way we are today. May his soul Rest in Peace,” a fan wrote.

“I’m sorry for your loss. Ben was a huge inspiration to me. This is truly heartbreaking,” another said.

Ben Potter's last YouTube video was posted on June 7, just a day before his passing.
